Comments ARE content

👋 Engagement Pods ... you're finally getting well n truly kicked to the kerb, LinkedIn (and the rest of us!) don't want or need your kind on here.

Meaningful Comments Matter

Creating content that *genuinely* encourages deeper interactions on your posts is where it's at, according to the latest updates to the ever-evolving LinkedIn algorithm.

LinkedIn used to give a little boost to posts that were attracting a lot of comments, but no more. The algo can tell the difference between random and new versus pithy, meaningless comments coming from regular groups (pods) of users.

Comments are content. I'll say that again, COMMENTS ARE CONTENT!

Focus on value, relevance and quality — comments are another opportunity for you to be seen, heard and discovered.

Daniel Roth (Editor in Chief and VP at LinkedIn) "Our system is like, 'This is a conversation, and people want to be part of this conversation. Show this to more people.'"

A couple of additional tips: tag @ the author - stay on topic, don't railroad the post and steer it elsewhere.

For me, it feels very much like LinkedIn is going back to its roots in helping you discover people who have a keen interest to share and educate and be that "go to" person on a given topic.
