How’s Your LinkedIn Shopfront Looking?

This is one of easiest tips to share: regularly review your personal profile.

Imagine you've got a shop on the high street, you wouldn't leave your physical shop looking tired or outdated would you, and this is why your profile needs regular attention too.

❓When was the last time you actually looked at your own profile? Not just to post something, but really looked at it? Try and look at it through the eyes of a future client or customer.

  1. Is everything current?

  2. Are you maximising each section?

If someone's checking you out after a networking event, like Last Friday Club - Chichester, for example, (and they will!), what story does your profile tell them right now?

🟢 ACTION: carve out 15mins to have a nosey around your own profile and freshen things up.

Look for the pencil icon for each section to make edits or at the top of your profile, you'll see the option to "Add profile section", so you can see if you are missing anything critical, helpful or interesting. For example, Licences & Certification; Volunteering; Projects or Publications.

Your profile photo, headline, about section, featured, experience etc - they all work together to tell people who you are, what you do or how you can help.

Make it easy for those having a gander to see if you are the perfect fit or worth DMing to find out more.
