Creator Day ‘25: a roundup

The saying "your vibe attracts your tribe" is never truer when spending time with Mark Masters and experiencing a You Are The Media Creator Day.

100% amazing, 0% asshats ... all thanks to Mark and the incredible YATM (You Are The Media) family. And that family just grew a little bigger last week!

🗓️ Mark your calendars for Thursday, May 16, 2026 – early bird tickets now on sale!

TLDR: The sun was shining, the speakers were inspiring and the audience were smiling ... in that there Poole.

For me, it all started with a train from Chichester on Wednesday in readiness for Failed Nights at the FOUNDRY, where Matthew Denyer was the host with the most to 3 folks with emotional, relatable and funny stories to share: Mark Franklin no longer expecting a tap on his shoulder, Beth Carter squeezing every drop out of life and pouring it into her personal and business adventures and Alix King who's a bit nifty with a Polaroid camera 👀 You'll have to ask them yourself about their stories!

Failed Nights provides the perfect gentle warm-up, especially for introverts or self-described awkward extroverts like myself.

This was my 3rd Creator Day, so there were plenty of familiar faces but seeking out the "orange man" IFYKYK was priority No.1 ... Gus Bhandal is a diamond and has never knowingly charged for one of his legendary hugs. I finally got to meet Michelle Haslam and Marianne Avery, who have been in my online circle for many years 🙌

Matt King's video had us in tears (the good kind)
Phill Agnew and his casual WALK from Salisbury to Poole, surviving donkeys and getting us to think about effort/time/pain & enjoyment. (Founder & host Nudge Podcast)
Steve Folland 1) start 2) don't stop (Founder & host Being Freelance)
Tamara Howard of Madra Dubh on smart tools that genuinely help your business, not just fill your toolbelt!
Jess Bruno reminding us to f☕️ck the algorithm
Mel Barfield lucky, lucky us! "go brain-to-fingers" 4EVA! (Copy Or Die and co-host with Ben McKinney of Indie Business Club, the podcast - link to Apple Podcasts)
Trevor Young tackling the tough final slot, getting us to contemplate personal brand sovereignty while our minds drifted to cold 🍺

Heart-full notable mentions for: Gordon Fong, Rachel Extance Christophe Stourton Ella Orr and John Jocham AND the brilliant Creator Lab graduates, the future looks bright for you all!

Needless to say, I've already locked in my spot for Creator Day '26
